We are Team 1138, founded in 2003

We Build for a Better Tomorrow!

FIRST has taught Chaminade students work ethics, gracious professionalism, and strategies to become Regional Champions and national division semi-finalists in 2006. In 6 short years the team has grown to 35 students including 5 females, full with members who have become captivated with hands-on engineering and computer programming. We interact with professionals; gaining knowledge to inspire us to “Build for a Better Tomorrow.” Seniors have received scholarships from Raytheon, FIRST, and local businesses.

We are a team eager to build a great robot to compete in Overdrive.

Our team is very active in our community, doing such things as a trip to a Mexican orphanage, helping the rookie Alemany robotics team, and being in contact with robotics students around the world. We have been in contact with robotics students from Hawaii, England, and even Azerbaijan. We are also competing in Bridge Battle at CSUN later this year.
